Youth-Impact Nonprofit Inspirement Tribe Launches in California
November, 2016 Client News

SAN DIEGO – Nov. 28, 2016 – After-School All-Stars San Diego is now called Inspirement Tribe and aims to be California’s first youth-impact program providing underserved and homeless children with free, comprehensive programming to create a pathway toward prosperity. The curriculum focuses on social emotional learning with the intention of giving students the opportunity to develop from the inside out.

“Inspirement Tribe is a movement to bring the nonprofit world into the 21st century,” said Tyree Dillingham, CEO, Inspirement Tribe. “We are creating a mentorship eco-system where the entire tribe benefits from being involved – donors, mentors and students.”

Inspirement Tribe’s youth impact programs are built on four pillars:

  • Culture & Diversity – Creating the foundation for students to identify and embrace what makes them exceptional and to appreciate the uniqueness of others.
  • Health & Wellness – Cultivating the mindset and skills to create and maintain positive self-image and a healthy lifestyle in mind, body, and spirit.
  • Life Skills – Empowering students to learn and apply practical real-world life skills in order to achieve success, and fulfillment in all facets of life.
  • Global Readiness – Inspiring students to adopt a mindset that fosters growth and leadership, igniting consciousness and collaboration to create a positive global impact.

Inspirement Tribe’s teaching approach involves peer-to-peer instruction led by fellows in the InspireMentor Program. Fellows consist of high school and collegiate level students seeking to make an impact for underserved inner city youth. Fellows make a 12-month commitment to lead Inspirement Tribe’s youth-impact programs with accountability, participating in the design of the students’ future and mentoring them on their pathway to success.

“Students will be receiving some of the basic skills they need, including conflict resolution, communication and goal setting,” said Dillingham. “Inspirement Tribe creates experiences for children to see possibility, and from possibility, an opportunity to create and live their visions.”

To help kick off the new brand launch, Inspirement Tribe will be hosting a virtual campaign this #GivingTuesday, Tuesday, Nov. 29, to bring awareness to the organization’s new name and strategic direction as well as raise crucial funds to allow the organization to continue its youth-impact programs throughout the San Diego region. For just $8 a day, someone can support a child and help him or her to create their pathway toward prosperity.
