San Diego Humane Society
Lending a paw to San Diego Humane Society
Overview
San Diego Humane Society is a private nonprofit organization established in 1880 with the goal of creating a more humane San Diego by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals. They are a leader in helping San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized.
Challenge
Though San Diego Humane Society was a long-established and well-respected animal welfare organization, they needed to raise awareness in specific neighborhoods to educate the community about their mission and services to new audiences. Their goals were to increase volunteers, donations, and overall support for animals in need.
Results
Scatena Daniels Communications helped San Diego Humane Society increase market share through strategic communications planning and media placements. Topics of these placements ranged from pet-related tips presented by animal welfare experts to human interest profile pieces spotlighting donors and volunteers, and much more. In collaboration with San Diego Humane Society, Scatena Daniels has helped position the organization as the leading animal welfare and education expert in the region.
