For more than 40 years, San Diego Family Care’s federally-funded health centers have provided high quality, culturally appropriate primary care services to thousands of San Diego families. In 2015, 96,000 visits were delivered, so the need for expansion was great. The San Diego Family Care leadership team decided to open a new community health center in a 23,000 sq.ft. former retail site that was not utilized for several years.
To promote the expansion of their nonprofit health center campus, creating a one-stop medical, dental, and mental health facility, which reflects the future of community health.
Within six weeks, the Scatena Daniels’ team secured 29 media interviews to promote the client’s expansion and coordinated a successful media tour to of the state-of-the-art center which was attended by several media outlets serving the English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese communities.
