With 27 worthy nonprofits who submitted for The Resilience Project, selecting three partners for this opportunity was quite a challenge to say the least. In fact, we added in a fourth partner last minute!
Scatena Daniels is proud to announce the following selections:
- Oncology And Kids – a free camp for kids battling cancer and their siblings to heal together.
- Wesley House Student Residence - the only affordable supportive housing complex serving low-income and systemically marginalized college students in San Diego County. Located at San Diego State University.
- Words Alive – an organization that provides students and families the knowledge and resources they need to use reading as a tool to change their lives.
- Workshops for Warriors – a nonprofit school that provides veterans and transitioning service members with industry-leading advanced manufacturing education and job placement.
These nonprofits were chosen for a few reasons: (1) the thoughtfulness they put into their submission, (2) their capacity for implementing the plan we will be providing them, and (3) their mission and how it fits within the passions of the Scatena Daniels’ team.
Thank you to all who submitted. Once we finish this first round, we will consider continuing this program annually.
The team at Scatena Daniels is really excited about beginning work with these four organizations in the next few weeks. We will be posting updates once the work is completed.
