SAN DIEGO – April 14, 2016 – The third annual Imperial Avenue Street Festival is on Sat., August 27 from 12 noon to 9 p.m. held on Imperial Avenue between 28th Street and 30th Street. The event aims to blend art and music in one of San Diego’s most historic and unique neighborhoods, while celebrating the current arts and culture of the Greater Logan Heights community.
The all-ages event is free to attend. Festival attendees will be able to browse four blocks of local artists, crafts and some of the most delicious food in the neighborhood. While tasting delicious foods ranging from Columbian to Cajun, attendees will groove to a variety of local San Diego bands as well as musical headliner, Grammy® Award-winning Poncho Sanchez. A full list and schedule of musical talent will be announced soon.
“Logan Heights is an amazing and beautiful community,” said Monte Jones, chief executive officer, BAME Community Development Corporation. “The Imperial Avenue Street Festival provides a chance for attendees to experience various cultures from African-American to the Latin American and everything in between. It is a chance for San Diegans to come out and celebrate the diverse culture of one of San Diego’s oldest neighborhoods.”
